1st grade- THEM BONES

1st grade students learn the basics of skeletal anatomy, while also imagining what bones look like and how they function. They will use a combination of drawing and collage to create their own skeletons, then speculate what their creations looked like when they were alive. Students will also learn how their practices reflect scientists and paleontologists, as well as the cultural relevance of bones in art, with examples like Jose Posada.
